Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Green Day, AFI, Bouncing Souls, Dropkick Murphys, Entombed, Gallows, Goldfinger, The Hellacopters, The Lemonheads, My Chemical Romance, My Morning Jacket, NOFX, Pennywise, No Use For A Name, Sum41, Superchunk, Therapy?, Trivium… The list goes on and on.

The thing that ties all of these artists together? They all cover Misfits and call them their favourite band.

In 2016, Misfits announced the news that fans had been waiting to hear for 33 years. Not one, but TWO reunion shows at the prestigious Riot Fest in Chicago. A seminal moment and the beginning of the new era of Misfits – the legendary American horror-punk outfit that inspired a million bands.

Indeed, with fans such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Green Day and more, what more can we say?

The band’s debut album is a game-changing punk record that set the scene for a generation of American musicians, and in 2018 Misfits teamed up with Earache Records to re-release the record that helped start all of the bands mentioned here and more.

‘Walk Among Us’ was reissued on November 30th, 2018 with the highly coveted Earache catalogue number MOSH666, with six limited-run coloured vinyl pressings, all of which sold out in record time.

Whatever the future holds for Misfits, one thing is sure – their influence shows no sign of waning any time soon.
