Brooding sonic adventures unfurl themselves on this, Callisto's debut album. Despite the tags of art-rock and post-prog sometimes applied to the band, the material on offer is much more earthly and honest than such pigeonholes suggest. Aggressive one moment, passive the next, the songs curl and creep in lazy fashion to make 'True Nature Unfolds' seem like one bitter sweet dream. Beautiful melodies overlaying unbridled power and feeling make Callisto's sound stand out and stick with you.
