Planting a fistful of Metal firmly in your face, Chicago Metal titans Usurper return with the massive Cryptobeast. Produced by Neil Kernon and featuring the return of original drummer Joe Apocalyptic Warlord and new member Dan Tyrantor Lawson on vokills, the album carves its wretched path via Celtic Frost grimness and Bolt Thrower-esque down tuned mayhem whilst relating the tales of the Metal macabre. Taking their cues from the beasts, supernatural beings and creature mutations found in creaky old horror genres, Usurper abuse, maim and terrify their way through ten murderous examples of unashamed metal gratification.
