BLODHEMN translates into VENGEANCE IN BLOOD, and that is what ENSLAVED set out to get, on this, their third lp. With a reinforced line-up with the addition of second guitarist Roy Kronheim and new drummer Dirge Rep the band went from a very good extreme metal band, to an absolutely amazing extreme metal band. The album created tours with well established acts such as MARDUK, DECAPITATED and ANGEL CORPSE.
The Norse viking metal gods then went from strength to strength, constantly pushing the boundaries of what an extreme metal band can incorporate into its songs. Really good stuff.
