BIOMECHANICAL COMPLETE CANNIBALISED - ADVANCE TRACK ONLINE NOW
UK epic- thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL have announced the completion of their upcoming release Cannibalised, mixed by famed producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest). The band have posted an exclusive advance track entitled 'Fallen In Fear' on their MySpace page for fans to get a taste of what to expect from the hotly anticipated release, currently streeting in February 2008.
To listen to the track head to myspace.com/biomechanical.
BIOMECHANICAL frontman John K, who recently recruited new members Jonno Lodge (drums ) and Gus Drax and Chris Van Hayden on guitars, had this to say about the 'Cannibalised' project which is the closing chapter of the story which began with their 2003 debut release 8 Moons.
"There are no compromises on this album. It's Metal without boundaries and as much energy as we could possibly deliver. Cannibalised brings a dark closure to the debut and the Earache released album The Empires of the Worlds.
All the elements of the other albums are there but with a much heavier sound and more aggression. The songwriting follows the emotional pull of each individual track, going from heavily orchestrated tracks to full-on Metal. It was a long journey getting this album done but now it's completed with the help of Chris Tsangarides and Jon Ashley with whom we finally managed to deliver Cannibalised. From the Cover Art side of things Nat Jones has astonished us once again! Huge thanks go to to these guys and looking forward taking this album on the road!!"

FIRE IN STUDIO TEMPORARILY HALTS ALBUM RECORDING
Jon Collins, bassist of BIOMECHANICAL checks in with a fiery studio update on the recording of their upcoming album, ‘Cannibalised’:
"Chris Webb Blows Up Chris Tsangarides' mixing desk
John K and Chris Tsangarides were recording Chris Webb’s solos when a strong smell of electrical fire started to fill the room. Right after that, smoke started coming out of the desk’s power supply and it eventually caught fire!
Chris ran out of the main room and grabbed the fire extinguisher.
Thankfully it was put out straight away. Just a few more minutes and the whole thing would go up in flames!
Just a small glitch…. : /
Biomech recordings will restart as soon as the desk is back on line"

Both the band and the studio tapes are all safe and sound. BIOMECHANICAL will re-enter the studio and continue recording ‘Cannibalised’ in a few weeks.
‘Cannibalised’ is slated for a September 21 release in the UK and will hit the US later this fall.
BIOMECHANICAL will be embarking on a limited run of UK dates starting tomorrow, July 7 at London’s Islington Academy. For a full list of dates, go to EARACHE.COM.

Biomechanical give update on recording of third album Cannibalised with Chris Tsangarides
UK metal heavyweights Biomechanical have released some exclusive information about their current session in The Ecology Rooms studio with producer Chris Tsangarides and reveal their confidence in the sound of the forthcoming release of Cannibalised. Biomechanical vocalist John K has spoken out about Tsangarides and his legendary status, giving the following insight into working with him:
Its hard to comprehend the enormity of the volume of work Chris Tsangarides has done in the past. I have been co producing our new album Cannibalised at his studio and in between recordings and preparation sessions Chris tells me stories that make me feel in awe. Best examples were the stories of the Painkiller album but even more crazy the fact that he was responsible for Vivian Cambel joining Dio. After that Vivian recorded one of my most favorite metal albums Holy Diver, I mean, WTF? And stories like that come in thick and fast.
My experience here has been awesome. Started with sorting out the drum sound with Matt C and then Chris Webb arrived in Dover on the 21st of July with a Framus stack. We ended up using the Framus amps plus a head manufactured by Chris Tsangarides plus a new amp called WKZ- little devil which sounded insane! There only five of those made so far so we were very lucky to use it.
Fans can expect to get hold of Cannibalised this Autumn, and John K has already put forward a confident message about the release:
The sound of the album is shaping very well. Chris gave me two choices. Huge sound a or Huge sound b! I am confident as hell that he will do a very good job. All I can tell you guys so far is that we are working really hard on this album so we hope you will like the final thing
The full track listing for Cannibalised is as follows:

1) Fallen in Fear
2) The Unseen
3) Cannibalised
4) Breathing Silence
5) Predatory
6) Slow the Poison
7) Consumed
8) Reborn in Damnation

Biomechanical set to mix ‘Cannibalised’ with Chris Tsangarides
Epic Progressive Metallers Biomechanical are scheduled to begin the mixing process of their new album ‘Cannibalised’ with legendary producer Chris Tsangarides (Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Thin Lizzy) on the 18th of June. The band will enter the Ecology Rooms in Kent, England to begin work on the brand new epic slated for a September 17th release date.
Front man, John had the following to say on the collaboration:
“This is the second time we will be working with the legendary Chris Tsangarides!
We have had several discussions about the direction of the sound and I feel that he is the one to create the sound I have in my head as a producer. Also even though Chris is very much a modern producer he can bring old school sensibilities on the sound front and this excites the hell out of me!! I honestly can't wait to get started!
To get to Cannibalised we looked back to our previews albums and made sure that the Biomechanical sound wouldn't evaporate on a firewall of heaviness. Cannibalised is heavier than our other albums but at the same time melodic and does incorporate the film scoring orchestral type of work that defines the sound of our band”.
The full track listing for Cannibalised is as follows:

1) Fallen in Fear
2) The Unseen
3) Cannibalised
4) Breathing Silence
5) Predatory
6) Slow the Poison
7) Consumed
8) Reborn in Damnation
9) Through Hatred Arise
10) Violent Descent

Biomechanical redux out now with PAINKILLER plus report from EXODUS tour
The re-release of awesome British band Biomechanical debut album with Earache is out now in a Limited edition redux including a cover of Painkiller.
The cover of the legendary ‘Painkiller’ was recorded over three days with the track’s original producer Tsangarides, at his own studio in Dover, UK. Singer John K from Biomechanical recently spoke about his appreciation of the track, which has featured as a highlight of the band's set for some time, stating: “When the song was first introduced to the scene in 1990 it blew everything out of the water, it was an instant classic and sure withstood the test of time. We’re really glad to be able to do homage to the original”.

‘Painkiller’ is released now by Earache on a limited edition re-dux of Biomechanical’s second album ‘The Empires Of The Worlds’, which also includes 3 bonus Quicktime Videos including behind the scenes footage of the band in the studio and on location filming their promo clip last year. Here is the latest update from Jon K of Biomechanical from the road with Exodus:
"Hey dudes, I’m here with all the guys
So far it’s been awesome fun and there are a few stories to tell already...
The venues have been awesome and the same goes for the guys who came to the gigs.
There was an incident in Bradford, basically Chris and Jamie were nearly killed by two cars!! This is what Jamie told me:
“After the Bradford Rio’s show Chris & I were chatting to the fans outside, then decided to head of to the Kebab shop! As we walked around the corner we heard an almighty BANG, like a gunshot. As we turned around we saw two cars spinning through the air in slow motion. They hit the wall & both landed upside down RIGHT BEHIND US!! SHIT MY PANTS OH YES!!!! If we were a few seconds later we would have been crushed by the cars.
A billion police cars, fire engines, ambulances etc turned up to cut the people from the cars. On a good note, the Kebabs were awesome!”
The Dublin was totally awesome in so many levels. The fans were going mental so much so the security guys threw out a dude who was going crazy, didn’t like that shit but you can’t argue with the security guys.
This is what Matt said:
“Our ferry crossing to Dublin was surreal to say the least. Stena line can now boast with confidence that it bore witness to the most metal crossing ever!!!!!
With the ‘Unholy Alliance’ tour in Dublin the night after our show, the ferry was littered with members of various bands slumped over tables with beers, wandering around gift shops and devouring Burger King for breakfast. In another surprise, it was great to find out that so many of the guys from Lamb of God, In Flames and Slayer turned up to the show and stuck around afterwards to drink with us. Proving that as well as awesome musicians, they are also very cool guys….”
Shortly after Matt used a broken hand-dryer and electrocuted himself!!…in all fairness he was very drunk. He is OK thought, no worries : -)
The guys from Exodus have been amazing. Really cool with the band and have been ripping the shit out of the clubs we’ve been playing with awesome performances every single night!! Real privilege touring with those guys and also to meet Nick Barker (Cradle of Filth, Testament, Dimmu Borgir) who helps out with touring stuff .
Keep an eye for photos we will post soon.

Biomechanical Dytone endorsement
Jamie, guitar wizard of Biomechanical has recently been endorsed by Dytone - he explains here:
"What happened is the guys from Guitar, amp and keyboard in Brighton basically arranged for a string endorsement for the tour, and as a result of this I got a Dytone endorsement. Dytone is a German company that makes effects pedals, they are all handmade - I use them for distortion boost on solos and also the delays in choruses. Maybe in the future I'll have a chance to have some hand made to my specification!"

When the song was first introduced to the scene it blew everything out of the water ^it was an instant classic and sure enough withstood the test of time. Biomechanical Announce New Album Title
U.K. progressive epic thrash metallers BIOMECHANICAL have set "Cannibalised" as the title of their upcoming album, tentatively due April 2007 via Earache Records. The follow-up to 2005's "The Empires of the Worlds" will be recorded at vocalist John K.'s studio beginning in November. The mixing sessions will take place in January.

It will be as heavy as, if not heavier than, 'The Empires of the Worlds', but with more melodic writing within the tracks, something that has been a BIOMECHANICAL trademark. Biomechanical tour report...
Well, we are back and fuck me that was a surprise. The first Biomechanical date in Italy was SOLD OUT!!! What can we say other than a huge thanks to all who came at the gig and so sorry for the people who had to be turned away. Hopefully will make it over there again sooner rather than later.
The hospitality was second to none and the guys from the club in Bari made us feel right at home. On the night we were faced with the impossible task of choosing between five types of pizza and were given plenty supplies of wine and beer.. We wanna play there every week!!!!
The gig it self was incredible for us as it was our first sold out gig and also the moshing was plentiful!! Warchild were awesome and we left the place with the best mood for the rest of the tour.
In Rome we were lucky enough to have time to visit some of the awesome sites including the breathtaking Monument of the Unknown soldier. Crushing display of power from the original Empire!!!
The gig itself was great , Sold out all our merch which was cool but the gig in Turin was a real treat!! Having fans travelling from all over to see your band is something else. And that is what happened that night. It was a bit of an eventful night to say the least.

First of all we got the BIGGEST china crash ever made on this planet!!!It was bigger that the drum kit! Thanks to Sick head for this awesome contribution. We have never seen Matt so impressed and scared in our lives (both at the same time).
We played our normal set but on DNA metastasis the kick decided to leave the building and Matt C stopped the gig (justifiably) and as there was nothing else to do we decided to throw in a metal screaming competition. The dude with the highest vocal would win a brand new Nat Jones - made biomechanical shirt.
There was a lot of people trying to hit the high stuff (including girls) but there was one guy who killed the competitors with his super high screams. Funny enough he was a dude with a Death shirt :)
It was awesome fun. We resumed with DNA Metastasis and after that we finished with The Imperial March and Raining Blood but the guys wanted to hear some more so we ended up playing Do you Know me and closed with Creeping Death. It was an awesome night for us and the same goes for the last night in Naples,
It was our first tour in Italy and all the guys made it really special for us, Thanks a million!!
Super special thanks to Marco our tour manager and Gianluca for driving our asses around and feeding us. Francesca and the family also Keith and the dudes from Warchild.
Also Sickhead for the china(!!) and Marshal Law for the gaffer-taped Shampoo coloured drum kit ;)
Special apologies to Marco for freaking him out with the lasagne (you know what we are talking about) And to the owner of the hotel in Naples for stuffing the umbrella holder with rubbish (crap, it did look like a fucking bin!!!!), His facial expression will haunt us forever!!!
Metal hails go to all the bands especially to Warchild and Sickhead who were awesome!!
Can't wait to play over there again!!

The UK gigs were nothing sort of amazing for us.
Gotta thank all the people who put up with us :) Co-Exist for their bone-crushing performances and all the bands who played @ the gigs, Dave and Lyn for the merch skills and all the fans who came, in particular Manchester and London created some mega metal mayhem but it was awesome all around!!
The gig @ Leed was eventful and full of technical problems but shit happens and there isn't anything you can do in situations like these. We felt bad that people who came to see Biomechanical couldn't enjoy the gig. We hope to come around in the future and play again minus all the crappy problems!
On the night we stayed at the organisers of the Damnation Festival who it so happens they are huge Sci-Fi and metal fans!! My Kind of people!!! I nearly made it nicking a huge Hellboy figure but the boots and cape sticking out of my coat gave it all away :D
Last date was in London and it was absolutely amazing, from the attendance to the bands to the sound, (Thanks to Kate for the help on the front desk-U rule)
Thanks to all who came to this tour and will see you again on the road soon!!!

Biomechanical vocalist John K says "It's very exiting news!! I can hardly wait to mix 'The Empires of the Worlds' with Andy. Me and the guys have been recording this album for some time now and have put a lot of hard work into it. It feels really good knowing that we can give it a great starting point with a kick-ass production!! We had a lot of discussions with Earache and Lee Barrett about the mix and Andy's name came on top of the list. It was very exiting when he agreed to take on the mix of the album. Can't wait!"
